I live in Seattle with my husband, small son, and three chickens named Sean Spicer. I did not name the chickens.
My arts and culture reporting is published in The Seattle Times, City Arts Magazine, The Stranger, Seattle Magazine, and Real Change. I write about dance, books, theater, and social issues like parental leave and birth control.
I spent many years working as a research analyst and document writer for local non-profits and academic institutions. I've also worked as a teacher, a bartender, and a biological specimen courier.
When I'm not writing, I like to garden, misread recipes, cook, and hang out with my guys.
